I first experienced reflexology in 1999 and it changed how I thought about managing stress and wellbeing. At the time, I was deep into a corporate career, the kind where targets and deadlines never stop coming. The pressure built up in ways I didn't always recognise until my body started sending clearer signals. Anxiety became a constant companion. Sleep suffered. Then perimenopause arrived, bringing a whole new set of challenges.
Reflexology became my refuge. Those regular treatments gave me something I'd been missing: genuine relaxation and a sense that my body could actually recover from everything I was putting it through. When menopause symptoms intensified, reflexology helped me navigate them without immediately reaching for medication. It made a real difference.
After decades of relying on reflexology for my own wellbeing, I decided it was time to stop being just a recipient of its benefits and start offering them to others. I completed my Level 8 Practitioners Diploma in Clinical Reflexology at the University of the West of Scotland in 2025. Now, I'm doing what I genuinely love: helping people discover what reflexology can do for them.
I understand the corporate world, the relentless pace and what it feels like when stress becomes your baseline. I also understand menopause, not from textbooks but from living through it. That combination of professional training and personal experience shapes how I work with every client who comes through my door.
